Julia Edelman is a comedy writer and filmmaker based in Los Angeles, C.A. Her work has appeared in The New Yorker, New York magazine, McSweeney’s Internet Tendency, Cosmopolitan, Food and Wine, Broadly, The Atlantic, CollegeHumor, Playboy, Funny or Die, Entertainment Weekly, People, the Believer, Buzzfeed, and more.

Her humor book, Love Voltaire Us Apart: A Philosopher's Guide to Relationships (Icon Books), was originally based on this New Yorker piece, and published in 2016. Her pilot “Lie with Me” placed in second round for the Comedy Pilot Award at the 2017 Austin Film Festival, and second round for the 2018 Sundance Episodic Program. She currently writes for Cartoon Network.
